For all the outsiders of Telugu film industry, here is the sweet jolt from Nandamuri Balakrishna. This highly reputed top most hero is known to have hiked the remuneration after the super hit run of Simha. Do you know about the remuneration Balakrishna charged prior to Simha? It is just 2 Crores, very less when evaluated either with young heroes or with his concurrent heroes like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh.
It's a fact that, not a single film of Balakrishna exceeded a budget of Rs 25 crores, till his last release Simha. Most of his film films were made with a moderate budget of 12 to 17 crores. This is one reason, Balakrishna was never seen waiting for producers in his film career, instead producers waited for his nod, even during the time when he has suffered a sting of successive failures. With the fan base and following Balakrishna has, his films always did a decent business before the release and also at the box office irrespective of it's success or failure. All this helped his producers, distributors and exhibitors to come out with less loses, even if the film is a disaster. But, things are not gonna be same now!
An abrupt increase of Balakrishna's remuneration to 5 Crores for 'Parama Veera Chakra' and a fee of 5 Crores + One Rupee to Director Dasari are making producer C. Kalyan to spend sleepless nights. Simha was made on a budget of 15 to 17 Crores and got away with a decent hit talk to make 300% profits. In unlikely competition, C. Kalyan poured double the budget of Simha on Parama Veera Chakra. Tormented with heavy losses for Puli and Khaleja, producer C. Kalyan may get an unforgettable hat trick with Parama Veera Chakra, even if movie gets a divided talk. When we have Dasari Narayana Rao on board, expectations are apparently going to be zero.
